Natarajan leads the data platform teams within Target. Natarajan comes with 24 years of technology experience in areas such as micro services, distributed computing, and data engineering of which almost 9 years have been at Target.
Currently his focus is executing a long-term data platform strategy for Target that will enable data driven decision making across the enterprise. This strategy is influenced by a combination of industry evolution, product strategy, operating model, and innovation. One key determinant of the success of our strategy is our culture in general and our engineering culture. Along with the appropriate prioritization, technology, and architectural choices we make as a team, the culture of the team plays an outsized role in any product operating model.
Natarajan’s interest and expertise lie in technology strategy, technology leadership, architecture and systems design, product management and engineering culture. He would love to share his experience on these topics or anything else you might want to know.
Nat loves watching movies and is a movie buff. He loves woodworking. A test cricket enthusiast and watches at least one test match live every year. He Grew up in the Andaman and Nicobar islands which he believes gave him his relaxed and no-stress personality!
