Harish Ramarao is the Senior Vice President of Product Engineering at ACKO Technologies, a digital-first insurer reshaping the insurance landscape in India through technology and innovation. With over 20 years of experience across enterprise software, telecom, and e-commerce, Harish brings deep expertise in building scalable products, platforms, and customer-centric solutions.
At ACKO, Harish leads the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) product engineering function, driving the development of cloud-native, app-first experiences tailored for today’s digital-first insurance consumer. His career began at SAP, where he designed and architected both on-premise and cloud-based enterprise and consumer products. He later took on engineering leadership roles at internet-scale companies like Flipkart and Amazon, further refining his ability to build and scale high-performance tech teams and platforms.
Harish has also played a pivotal role in driving D2C product charters for startups in the telecom space, focusing on rapid product iteration and app-only models tailored for the Indian market. He holds a BE and MS in Software Engineering.
Beyond the world of tech, Harish is passionate about Indian classical literature and music, which he explores deeply in his personal time.
